We recommend trying out the methods below well before the big day so you know what works best for you.
*WWD TIP: Implement a set sleep schedule and stick to it one week out from your wedding day.
Exercise - but Not at Night
Exercise is insanely important because it improves the quality and length of your sleep. However, you don’t want to do it too close to nighty night time. Even 30 minutes of exercise could keep your body pumped up for 4 hours, which means no true beauty rest if you’re exercising at 8 pm. Try to get in your workout in the morning or right after work to get that deep sleep you'll be craving.
You know what type of “light” exercise is good before sleep? Stretching! Try a few of these yoga poses before hitting the sack.
No Caffeine After Lunch
Yep, we mean it! Caffeine can stay in your system for 8 hours that which can prevent you from falling asleep. That means no coffee, tea, after dinner cappuccino, or soda drinks after lunch. Try some of these caffeine-free teas instead -
- Yogi Bedtime Tea
- Traditional Medicinals Organic Nighty Night Tea
- Numi Organic Tea Moroccan Mint
- Dr. Rosemary's Tea Day Is Done Relaxing Blend
Make Your Own Sleepy Spray
Did you know that essential oils can help you sleep? Lavender, Ylang-Ylang, Chamomile, Vetiver, and Sandalwood are all smells that help relax the brain. You can create your own spray by mixing a few drops of your chosen essential oil in a spray bottle with purified water. Spray some in the air and walk through it or give your pillowcase a spray! You'll get some great zzZZzzZz's...

Set the Mood for a Deep Sleep!
Bright light too close to bedtime can make it hard to fall asleep. So try to keep all screens - phone, TV, iPad - away from your pretty little eyes at least an hour out before bed. If possible, dim the lights at night as you wind down and, of course, keep the room dark while you sleep.
Sleep Tight, Princess!
